Richard Kelly is a renowned Manchester-based photographer specialising in music, fashion, and advertising since 2004 and is now a Senior Lecturer in Fashion Image at Manchester Metropolitan University.
A creative tour de force, Richard has worked on campaigns with major fashion brands and has been featured in iconic magazines such as Dazed, ID, Rolling Stone, and Elle amongst many others.
With a career that has seen him photograph some of music's most recognisable faces, Richard Kelly has built a portfolio and a reputation many can only dream of. His work includes iconic images of artists such as Amy Winehouse, Pete Doherty, and the Arctic Monkeys. He even became Arctic Monkeys' go-to man, documenting the band as they rose from relative unknowns.
Richard’s photos often formed the basis of exhibitions in Manchester, including his eponymous ‘Time and Place’ exhibition held at The Refuge, and a ground-breaking collaboration with a young fellow Mancunian entitled, ’20 Year Party People.’
These images are part of rock ‘n’ roll royalty, but amongst Richard’s extensive portfolio, you can also get some cool, quirky one-off images from Manchester’s hottest man about town.
